Description
Wood beams are appreciated for their understated details that add warmth & character and contribute to a laid-back ambiance. The gentle, broad strokes of the wood grain capture your gaze, moving it along the beam. The most distinctive aspect of these beams is the somewhat rugged texture of the grain pattern, which in actual wood results from the cutting method.
The beauty of cypress beams can elevate the aesthetic of any room, be it bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms, offices, family rooms, or even bathrooms. They are cost-effective, generally cheaper than steel if needed for structural support. Wood beams are also easy to install, versatile, used as support or decorative accents, charming, renewable & sustainably sourced, and easy to maintain.
Priced per board foot. Cypress beams are all cut to order. As green timber dries, it will shrink, develop checks, and occasionally twist. Timber framers and engineers anticipate and accommodate these changes. Checks typically start on the exterior surface of the timber and extend towards its center. These checks rarely pose structural issues. Lead times vary from 4-8 weeks depending on the availability of the size logs needed to cut what you are looking for. For beams, LTL shipping typically begins at approximately $300 per order.
Beams exceeding 22 feet in length will be produced as a single unit and then bisected for shipping purposes.

Pick up locally or let us ship it to you. Following our clear assembly instructions, this table takes just minutes to assemble. The cost of national shipping usually ranges from $500 to $1000, depending on the distance and size of product. Beams that are 22 feet or longer will be manufactured as a single beam then cut in half for shipping
Notes
As raw wood is used in its natural form, the beam shown in the picture will slightly vary from the one purchased. Cypress retains moisture in pockets, which can cause the wood to crack and split. Woods of the same species may vary in color, grain pattern, and texture. Natural wood may display small splits or knots (known as “checks”) or other organic features unique to each piece, usually occurring as it dries. Wood shrinks about twice as much along the growth rings (radially) as it does across the rings (tangentially). This uneven shrinkage leads to the formation of checks. Checks are what set a solid timber apart from a boxed beam. Their appearance in timber is unpredictable, but they play a big role in giving the wood its unique character, making each beam one-of-a-kind and different from any other. This is real wood, and it will react to water, humidity, and heat as well. Message us for further information on upgrades or further requests. (Additional Charges may apply)
